Today is the day our group departs London and heads back to JFK. Overall, this trip has been very eventful, to say the least. I enjoyed most of the activities we did, the scavenger hunts, the museums, the parks, and everything else. I appreciate the particular time allotted for the students to spend in the city independently. While I had free time, I spent some time exploring the city, experiencing nightlife in London, seeing a friend in the city, and going to different pubs.

Today, I was able to sleep in, get up and pack up the hotel room. This morning, Emma and I visited a local café not far from our hotel. We were greeted by the owner, who was lovely, he catered to our needs and was quick and efficient with the service. Alongside the service, we explained some American traditions to him. We talked about the different major cities in the U.S. and explained where we were from, Boston (the better city in the northeast) and he was intrigued.

I think that during this trip I exchanged a lot of cultural interactions with many people who I had only met briefly or whom I was speaking to. During my time in London, I recognized how many different cultures, backgrounds, and ethnicities people come from. Like any other major city, you will see this, and it is always something I like to see while traveling.

Overall, this trip has been very good, and I have made connections with new friends and am very grateful to have done this course.
